Detox Retreats Colombia began as a shared dream between siblings Joanna "Jojo" and Tiberius "Tibi," evolving into something far deeper than just a place to detox or unplug. Nestled in the tranquil mountains of Barbosa, Antioquia, our retreat center is now a sacred playground — a space where sovereignty, intention, and inner wisdom are honored above all else.

Here, the medicine doesn't come with a master.
You are the healer.
You are the teacher.
You are the ceremony.

For the past several years, we've explored the plant medicine world through many lenses — sitting in ceremony with traditional taitas, witnessing profound healing, but also confronting an undercurrent of disconnection: rules without resonance, rituals without understanding, and leadership that sometimes felt more performative than authentic.

We realized that many people — including ourselves — were following traditions without fully understanding their original purpose or intention. And while we deeply respect the roots these ceremonies come from, we no longer believe healing requires hierarchy. The future of medicine is self-guided, intentional, and collaborative.

That’s why our ceremonies look and feel different.
There is no “Taita,” no central authority, no script.
Instead, we co-create each ceremony with the souls who show up. Every person brings a gift — song, silence, movement, tears, insight. Together, we create a living, breathing space for truth and transformation.

We don’t impose silence, though we honor it when it arises.
We don’t restrict your voice, your feelings, or your energy.
We don’t tell you how to prepare, how to pray, or what to avoid.

Our plant medicine ceremonies are not about control — they are about liberation. They are not about “fixing” you — they are about reminding you that you are not broken. Every element of the experience is designed to help you reclaim your power and reconnect with your own inner teacher.

Outside of ceremony, guests can unwind through our signature detox services, explore the surrounding beauty through ecotours, and relax into the rhythm of nature. Jojo and Tibi built this retreat center in 2020 with love, intention, and a vision of creating a space where the body, mind, and spirit could realign naturally and freely.​ These all-inclusive weeklong retreats include colon hydrotherapy, infrared saunas, herbal detoxes, nature excursions, nourishing meals, and integrative wellness support.

We also offer non-plant medicine retreats, designed for those seeking deep cleansing and purification through holistic detox modalities.
